Pipeline maintenance

The company will be conducting a maintenance program on their markers, certifying compliance with required US DOT regulations. The program began Tuesday, Oct. 1 and will continue though the end of the year.

The markers are white PVC posts with a yellow top include company contact information. According to a release from the town, the markers are critical in identifying the location of the pipeline and aid in preventing damage by excavators. If markers are missing or need to be added, the company will attempt to contact the landowner by knocking on the door or leaving a door hanger explaining the installation.
