Island music

Start your weekend off with a free show at The Island just over the border in North Smithfield with Papa Joe, Average Joel and Drunkfacepauly. The show starts 7 p.m.

Read more about the series, put on by Burrillville resident Rob Greyfox here.

Bucket drummers, slimy librarians

The Rhode Island Bucket Drummers will perform a free show at Jesse M. Smith Memorial Library on Saturday, Aug. 10, starting at 11 a.m..

Stick around after the program to see some librarians get slimed. Staff at the facility promised to slime the librarians if 200 people completed the summer reading program, and surpassed the goal. The sliming will take place on the Riverwalk behind the library.

Live Music Band

Later on Saturday, visit the pavilion at Jesse Smith for a free concert with Live Music Band, playing high energy classic rock & roll from the 60s through the 90s.

The concert is part of the annual Riverwalk Times Concert series, supported by Friends of the Jesse Smith Library. Read more about the band here or the series here.

Guitar on the patio

Grab dinner on the patio at Bella Restaurant Saturday night and enjoy live acoustic music. The restaurant will have live entertainment every Saturday night starting at 6 p.m. through August, weather permitting. Reservations are recommended.

Transmission

Haven’t had enough outdoor summer music? Head over to Oakley’s Saturday night to catch classic rock band Transmission playing hits from The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Tom Petty and more on the patio from 6 to 10 p.m.
