Toys for Tots Drop Off

American Legion Post 88 will host a Toys for Tots drop off on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 111 Chapel St. The group will be collecting IGA receipts, worn flags, canned goods, and new toys for the Christmas program as well as holding a coat/clothing drive. Donate new clothes and toiletries for the Knights of Columbus RI Veterans Home collection. There will also be a new flag sale and refreshments, as well as a raffle for a Hess Truck. Join the group after the event at 3 p.m. for the kickoff of the Army/Navy football game with snacks and hot weiners to be served at half time.

Santa at Stillwater

The annual Santa at Stillwater event, put on by Burrillville Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with the Harrisville Fire Department, Jesse Smith Library and Burrillville Farmer’s Market, will be held at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. Enjoy hot chocolate under the Pavilion while you’re waiting to see Santa. Santa will be happy to hear your Christmas wishes and will have a small gift for all who stop by. Get your face painted in the library café and decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus in the Jesse Smith Library Community Room. Enjoy live music from the Middle School Chorus. Read more here.

Breakfast with Santa

The Oakland Mapleville Fire Department will hold Breakfast with Santa with all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, bacon. coffee, milk and OJ at 46 Oakland School St on Sunday, Dec. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon. The cost is $8 for adults or $5 for children, and children under the age of five are free. Santa will be present from 9 to 10 a.m. only, and children can visit and take pictures. Pictures will be developed and available for pickup at the station the following week for free.

Farm holiday show

Also on Sunday, starting at 2 p.m., Grace Note Farm at 969 Jackson Schoolhouse Road will host “Holiday Time Again,” where the Jess Tora Jazz Trio will play holiday music from the Great American Songbook, holiday movies and original music in the final 2018 performance of Music at the Farm. Call (401) 567-0354 for tickets for $20 or visit Eventbrite.com.
