Dinosaur Day

Jesse Smith Memorial Library will host Dinosaur Day on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Celebrate Dinovember at the Library. Stop by the Children’s Department and enjoy games, activities, scavenger hunts, stories and more. Jess E. Saurus will be stopping by to take photos at 11:15 a.m., so don’t forget to bring your camera.

Holiday Night

It’s here! The Downtown Pascoag Neighborhood Association’s annual Victorian Holiday night on Saturday, Nov. 17 will include a fire truck parade, Santa’s arrival on a Pascoag Fire Truck, vendors, a photo booth, kids’ fun, entertainment and involvement from lots of local businesses. Adopt-a-family

The Burrillville Police Department is starting its Christmas Adopt-a-Family program and is seeking help and donations. Those who can help in any way are asked to email lrabideau@burrillville.org or call 401-568-9494 x1.

Buy a bottle

Decorative bottles are on sale in the latest fundraiser against the proposed power plant.

Bottles are $20 each and can be purchased at Eastcoast Artisans in Pascoag.

Out and about

The Railroad Avenue bridge, which has been closed since June, is now open following rehabilitation by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. Read about bridge improvements here.

Alashan Cashmere Company will hold their annual Sample Sale on Friday, Nov. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Surplus inventory and discounted items will be available at their facility at facility at 866 Broncos Highway.

Oakley’s Bar and Grill at 1950 Broncos Highway will hold acoustic karaoke night on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sing while Teter Todders’ Rich Teter plays acoustic accompanist for you There will also be food, beer and free stuff up for grabs.

American Sin will play at Uncle Ronnies on Friday, Nov. 16.

The Church of the Beloved at 158 Broad St. in Pascoag will hold a rummage sale on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
