Fall Fling

The Wright’s Farm Gift Shop 11th annual Fall Fling takes place on Friday, Nov. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. The customer appreciation event is a chance to get a jump start on holiday shopping. Spin the “Wheel of WOW” and try your luck at additional savings, gifts, promotions, raffle tickets or even the grand prize. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening and many raffle baskets will be on display to win.

BHS Clothing Drive

A clothing drive will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 and Saturday, Nov. 17 to raise funds for the Burrillville High School 2019 All Night Grad Party. Acceptable items include: clothing, shoes, accessories, blankets, sheets, comforters, potholders, dish towels, tablecloths, cloth napkins, towels, curtains and chair covers. Drop off donations at BHS at 425 East Ave. on either Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. A cash receipt will be provided.

Broncos take on East Greenwich in round 2 playoffs

The Burrillville High School football team will play East Greenwich in the second round of playoffs Saturday at noon at Johnston High School. The Broncos, who currently have an 8-1 record in Division II, hope to move on to the championship game to be played Sunday, Nov. 18. Good luck Broncos!

BHPS Holiday Bazaar

The Burrillville Historical & Preservation Society will hold a Holiday Bazaar and Indoor Yard Sale at Bridgeton School at 16 Laurel Hill Ave. in Pascoag on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be crafts, holiday gifts for sale, a large penny social, and a bake sale with fresh baked apple pies and many other homemade treats. There will also be an indoor yard sale with many items and book sale.

The society continues to collect sales receipts as part of a fundraiser from IGA and Dino’s.  Bring any sales slips from these stores when you visit us at the Bridgeton School.

Get a call from Santa

Register for your child to receive a call from Santa through a free program sponsored by Burrillville Parks and Recreation. The Santa Calling program gives Burrillville kids grade 2 and under a chance to talk to Santa on the phone. To get your call, complete the form below and return it via email to parksandrec@burrillville.org or by mail to Burrillville Parks and Recreation, 92 North Main St., Pascoag, RI 02859. or fax to 568-9457 by Friday, Nov. 30.

Parents can also register to receive a call at the Parks and Recreation booth at the Victorian Holiday in downtown Pascoag next Saturday. Santa will call between 5 and 8 p.m. between Dec. 5 and Dec. 9.
