Mapleville Farms will host their 6th annual Fall Festival on Sunday, Sept. 30, a family-friendly day with activities including Oakland-Mapleville Fire Department and fire engine; balloon animals; greenhouse tours; pony rides; wandering lumberjacks; face painting; kids games; pumpkin painting and artisan vendors. Admission to the fair is free and starts at 11 a.m. at the farm at 544 Victory Highway Mapleville.

There will be a charity golf tournament on Saturday, Sept. 29 to benefit Pascoag Hose Company #1 at Country View Golf Club. The 3rd annual event runs from noon to 6 p.m. and includes a bbq dinner for $100. Funds raised help to support local youth groups and sports organizations throughout the year. Best of luck to two undefeated Broncos teams looking to continue their winning streaks this week.
The Burrillville High School varsity football team is 3-0 and will play against Rogers tonight – Friday, Sept. 28 – in an away game in Newport starting at 7 p.m.
The school’s varsity volleyball team is also undefeated so far this year with a 6-0 record, and will take on the Patriots at Portsmouth High School on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m.
