BURRILLVILLE – Two young girls were arrested on Saturday following reports that they’d been stealing packages out of mailboxes along Victory Highway.
An 11 year-old female and a 16-year-old female were charged with larceny after Burrillville police reportedly found the juveniles in possession of the stolen property around 7 p.m. Saturday night.
According to BPD Major Dennis Leahey, the girls were picked up after officers discovered costume jewelry valued at $35 and dog medication valued at $15.
Both juveniles are expected to be referred to family court at a later date.
