#1 Boot Camp

Join instructor Samantha Tobin 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m to 8 a.m. on Sunday at the Beckwith-Bruckshaw Lodge at 50 Lodge Road with Tobin-Style Boot Camp. There’s a $5 drop in fee. Learn more about Tobin’s classes here.

#2 Pet Rock Crafts

Jesse Smith Memorial Library at 100 Pinkham Lane will host Pet Rock Crafts from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Drop-in to create your Pet Rock and decorate its home.
Rocks are provided. The program is open to kids of all ages.

#3 Farmer’s Market

The Burrillville Farmers’ Market will take place at the Stillwater Mill Pavilion in front of the Jesse Smith Memorial Library from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. From the expected to the unexpected, the market offers fresh beef, honey, baked good, eggs, cut flowers, plants, wool, entertainment, children’s programs, educational literature and guest experts. #4 Paracon

The 7th annual Ocean State Paracon will take place at the Assembly Theatre from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The event will include 46 tables where guests can meet authors, celebrities and others with expertise in the paranormal, along with speakers, and is a fundraiser for Friends Way of Rhode Island, an organization that helps children and families cope with the loss of a friend or loved one. #5 Riverwalk Times Concert

Catch the Jesse Liam Band Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the pavilion in front of Jesse Smith Memorial Library playing original music and hits from the 50s to today. The free event is part of the Riverwalk Times Concert series, and guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs, or dance the night away. Learn more here.

#6 Breathe for Steve

Breathe4Steve’s Links Fore Life is a golf tournament to help spread awareness and raise money for the fight against Cystic Fibrosis. The tournament will take place on Monday, July 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Crystal Lake Golf Club. Learn more here.

House of Darkness, House of Light author Andrea Perron will speak at the Jesse Smith Memorial Library, sharing her experiences with a very haunted house in Burrillville from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 16. The event is free and open to the public and no registration is necessary.

#8 Glad Tidings Community Church at 111 Victory Highway in Chepachet is seeking items for their Rolling River Rampage. The church is hoping someone can donate 400 5oz Dixie cups, sticks for s’mores. large ropes and 18 sternos. If you are able to donate, contact the church via their Facebook page.

#10 Lost dog

A blind chocolate lab named Bosco wandered off and is unable to be found in the Chepachet area on Eddy Road near Evans Road, Long Entry and Cooper Hill. The dog is 100 percent blind and is extremely sweet, according to the owners. If you see him call John Boyer at 401 497-4762.

#11 Lost cat

A cat went missing last Friday morning from Maureen Circle/Cooper Rd area. According to the owners, she is up to date, spayed and super sweet. If found, contact Richele Souza on Facebook.

#12 Autumnfest parade

The 40th Autumnfest Parade can use you. The Autumnfest Parade Committee is looking to add more entertainment this year. All professional DJ’s and bands, here is your chance to get in the parade and promote your DJ business or band.

If you have DJ service that entertains at weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, or any social gathering, then grab your equipment, get a flatbed or even a pick-up truck and enter the parade. You can play any music you like and talk to the crowd as you promote your business to everyone along the parade route and the people listening on the radio and watching the parade on cable and streaming video online. Remember, to have signs on your vehicle telling everyone who you are.

All those that are musically inclined, get your band on a flatbed and join the parade. Imagine your band playing your music to all those people as the flatbed rolls down the parade route. Be sure to have signs made so people know who you are.

Floats of all kinds are also welcomed in the parade.
